Lifin Privacy Policy

Lifin (the "App") values your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Lifin uses and how it stores and processes that information.

1. Information Stored in the App

Lifin does not require registration or account creation. Your financial records are stored locally on your device by default.

Information you enter or create in the App may include:

  • Expense and income amounts
  • Currencies
  • Categories
  • Dates and times
  • Payment methods
  • Notes or entry descriptions
  • Budgets and budget periods
  • Information about fixed and variable expenses and income
  • Recurring expense and income settings
  • Places and location information you select
  • Photos you attach

Lifin currently does not provide user accounts, its own server, or cloud synchronization.

2. Photos and Camera

When you attach a photo to an expense entry, the App may request permission to access your photo library or camera.

Photos you select or take are stored in Lifin's local app storage. They are not automatically uploaded to a server operated by Lifin.

Using photos is optional.

3. Location Information

Lifin may request permission to access your location when you search for an expense location or use map features.

Location permission may be used for features such as:

  • Finding places near your current location
  • Selecting an expense location
  • Displaying expense locations on the map

If you save a location for a particular expense, that location information may be stored on your device as part of the expense entry.

Lifin does not store your location information on its own server.

4. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads

Lifin uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process the following information to serve ads, measure ad performance, perform analytics, and improve services:

  • IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them
  • Device identifiers
  • The advertising identifier (IDFA), if you allow access
  • Ad impressions and ad interaction information
  • App usage and user interaction information
  • Crash logs
  • Performance and diagnostic information

Google may process this information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and related policies.

Lifin uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to provide advertising-related privacy choices and obtain consent in regions where required.

Where iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) applies, Lifin requests your permission before carrying out processing that requires tracking authorization.

You can continue to use Lifin's core financial record features even if you do not allow tracking.

5. Sharing Information with Third Parties

The developer of Lifin does not transmit your financial records to its own server or sell them.

However, third-party services included in the App, such as Google AdMob, may process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

6. CSV, Excel, and PDF Export

When you use an export feature, the App may create a file on your device containing the financial data you select.

You can share the generated file with a destination you choose using features such as the iOS share sheet.

Lifin does not upload these files to its own server without an explicit action from you.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Financial records, photos, budgets, and other app data are stored on your device by default.

You can delete individual entries in the App.

If you delete the App, iOS may remove Lifin's local app data.

The retention and deletion of data processed by third parties, such as Google AdMob, are governed by their respective privacy policies.

8. Permissions

Lifin may request the following permissions only when needed to provide its features:

  • Photo library access
  • Camera access
  • Location access

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised to reflect changes to the App's features, applicable laws, or third-party services.

If there are significant changes, the effective date on this page will be updated.
